I began my company in 2013 from a passion of building successful business relationship for technical service companies. I saw a need for architects, engineers and project managers who do their job well to communicate with their clients proactively. To build trust a bit better and to add the soft skills required for a flourishing relationship.
Construction runs in my blood! My dad, Paul Henderson, founded the Henderson Construction Company (HENCO). I watched first-hand how his relationship with J&J began on a handshake, demonstrating the importance of performing work based on one's "word" as HenCo grew to build their facilities through the USA. I earned a BS from Rutgers University in Environmental Science, with a minor in Physical Oceanography. Each summer I spent time working for my father on a HenCo drafting board and learning the facility construction and engineering field.
Upon graduation I became rudely aware that the option to follow Jacques Cousteau to sea was not plausible. However, I was blessed to gain employment for a small environmental consulting firm where I worked in a lab, pulled underground storage tanks, stack tested, and provided health and safety for Level B site remediation work.
Eventually I chose to hang up my Carhartt's and focus on business development and focus on A&E development for a firm, as it better suited my lifestyle as a mom. Obtaining this practical experience has benefited my understanding of a client's technical requirements/regulations and language in order to better understand their needs.
I continue learning through my studies to keep my Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) accreditation. I also stay current on my clients' industry trends and attend relative social events such as ISPE. Since studying Physical Oceanography at Rutgers, I enjoy following the breakthroughs in ocean power and attempt to keep up with trends in natural resource sustainability.
